IMCD Group, a global leading partner for the distribution and formulation of speciality chemicals and ingredients, has appointed Clara Fabre as Business Group Director, Lubricants & Energy, effective 1 January 2026.

Clara steps into the role after serving as Global Technical Director for the Business Group. She succeeds Marco Maddedu who will now focus fully on leading IMCD Italy, following the closing of the acquisition of Tillmanns. She will lead the global Lubricants & Energy strategy with a focus on delivering first-rate service to customers and partner suppliers, as well as driving growth and innovation.

Clara brings more than 15 years of experience in R&D and customer technical support across the lubricants and fuels sector. Since joining IMCD in 2017, she has built and coordinated the global network of technical centres and led a team of Technical Managers while also taking on principal coordination responsibilities. Her earlier career spans roles in France, the UK and Italy with Lubrizol, Total and Petronas. She holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s in Petroleum Derivatives and Internal Combustion Engines from IFP School.
