CPHI Americas 2025 to Strengthen Pharma Industry and Economic Ties Across the Region
9th January 2025
CPHI Americas 2025 registration for next year’s event is now open and will include increased attendance from Latin American countries.
CPHI Americas 2025 is a leading pharmaceutical trade event, formerly known as CPHI North America, taking place on 20-22 May 2025, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia. It is dedicated to connecting the end-to-end pharma supply chain, from drug development to manufacturing. Drawing industry leaders, innovators, and professionals from around the globe. This year, the focus is on connecting North America and Latin American markets.
The Latin American pharma market is experiencing major development and growth opportunities. Valued at 98 billion USD, and with expected growth of 10.1%, this market is growing rapidly compared to both developed markets such as North America (3.1%) and Europe (3.9%), highlighting its significance.
The market’s rapid growth is being driven by rising healthcare costs and increasing demand for cost-effective generic drugs. Infectious and chronic disease as well as diabetes and cardiovascular conditions are also fueling the need for more innovative treatments and vaccines.
CPHI Americas aims to address the most pressing challenges and emerging opportunities across the entire Americas region. Attendees will gain a global perspective on the evolving market dynamics of the Americas with a focus on trade, investment, innovation and sustainable development.
“North America and Latin America are at a pivotal moment in their economic relationship,” said Adam Andersen, Executive Vice President – Pharma, Informa Markets.
“As the US continues to move toward reshoring manufacturing and supply chains, the role of Latin American markets has never been more significant. CPHI Americas offers an opportunity to highlight the synergies between the two regions, but also provides insights on the complexities of cross-regional commerce in today’s global economy.
“We’re anticipating an influx of visitors from Latin American countries this year, and they can expect a warm welcome to the event.
Panel discussions will cover a range of topics, including the essential role of clinical trials in advancing healthcare across the Americas, with a focus on regulatory considerations, patient recruitment strategies, and cross-border collaboration in clinical research.
There will also be dedicated panels to explore ongoing supply chain challenges, particularly considering the US reshoring trend, and how Latin American markets can play a pivotal role in creating resilient and efficient supply chains.
A special Latin American panel, featuring industry speakers from the region will discuss region-specific trends and regulatory frameworks. Attendees will also have access to plenty of networking opportunities, facilitating conversations between business leaders, investors, and policymakers to help drive cross-border collaboration.
Andersen added: “With over 4,000 attendees, 82 speakers and nearly 400 exhibitors in 2024, CPHI Americas 2025 expects to see further growth – engaging biotech companies from across the entire region, recognizing the Americas’ growing influence in the life sciences sector. The inclusion of Latin American voices and expertise will ensure that this event reflects the diversity and potential of the Americas market.”
