CropLife America elects new Board Chair

CropLife America (CLA), the national association representing the manufacturers, distributors and formulators of organic and conventional pesticides, as well as other crop protection products, has elected Susanne Wasson with Corteva Agriscience as its 44th chair of the CLA Board of Directors. Wasson will hold the position for two years and use her diverse background to help guide the association, working with newly hired President and CEO Chris Novak.

Wasson is currently the president for the Crop Protection Business Platform for Corteva Agriscience, the Agriculture Division of DowDuPont. She has worked in a variety of roles that cover a breadth of industry issues and brings additional expertise in finance, sales and marketing.

“I’m honored to step into the role of chair for the CLA Board of Directors,” stated Wasson. “It is more important than ever that we communicate effectively with our industry, our customers and consumers about the necessity of our products and innovation that will allow us to keep pace with consumer demands and a changing climate. I look forward to working with Chris, CLA staff and the board to move new initiatives forward in the next two years.”

Novak added, “We are excited to have Susanne step into this role at such a pivotal time in the industry’s history. As we navigate complex issues over the next couple years, I know that Susanne’s varied experience and unique point of view will be a great asset to the association.”
