Eigenmann & Veronelli, a leading Italian distributor and manufacturer of specialty chemicals with over a century’s expertise, has appointed Gabriele Bonomi as its new CEO.

Mr. Bonomi has over 30 years’ experience in the chemicals sector. Starting his career at Japanese and German chemical manufacturers, he joined IMCD Group, the Dutch specialty chemicals distributor, in 2001. Appointed Managing Director of IMCD Italia in 2003, Gabriele expanded the firm’s turnover from €20 million to €150 million. He was made Group Director Personal Care in 2012, and from 2014, he was part of the firm’s global Executive Committee, overseeing its successful listing on the Dutch stock market.

Founded in Milan in 1910, family-run, Eigenmann & Veronelli distributes specialty chemicals for a wide range of sectors, from nutrition and life sciences to polymers and performance chemicals. A leader in chemical innovation, the firm today is directly present in four countries across Europe: Italy, Spain, Turkey and Russia. The company also exports its products to over thirty countries across the globe, and in 2019 its business size was worth €381.5 million.
