ExxonMobil considering new plant in Texas 28th August 2018
ExxonMobil says it is considering the construction of a of a 400,000-metric tons/year Vistamaxx performance polymers unit and a 350,000-metric tons/year, full-range linear alpha-olefins (LAO) unit at its facility in Baytown, Texas. The LAO unit would be the company’s first ever. ExxonMobil expects to make a final investment decision during the first half of 2019, and assuming the project goes ahead, to bring the units online in late 2021.
