Lacamas Laboratories Inc. acquired the Albany, Oregon Fine chemical Facility previously owned by W. R. Grace Inc. on December 31, 2024. The acquisition of this site, formerly announced to close by W. R. Grace, will result in the retention of many sustainable salaried jobs in Oregon. The facility was owned and operated by Grace from 2010 through 2024 and prior, to 2010, was the headquarters of Synthetech, a small, publicly held company.
Dr. Erickson, CEO and owner of Lacamas Laboratories, commented, “This acquisition significantly increases Lacamas’ capacity to manufacture high-quality chemical products. We are proud to bring the Albany team into the Lacamas family. Albany has great people, and it is an excellent facility. This plant will give us additional resources to service our pharmaceutical and defense industry customers. The Albany facility is a world class manufacturing plant which has a history of supplying the pharmaceutical and dietary supplement industries.”
