Arcturus opens new R&D facility

Arcturus Therapeutics, a leading RNA medicines company, officially cut the ribbon on its San Diego-based research and development facility on Monday (5th November), with President and CEO Joseph Payne, San Diego Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer, board members and more than 80 employees and consultants in attendance at the event.

The new San Diego facility is over 24,700 square feet, more than twice the size of their previous facility, and is designed to help Arcturus and its team continue development and commercialization of therapeutics for rare, infectious, fibrotic and respiratory diseases with significant unmet medical need.

“San Diego is home to some of the world’s brightest minds developing new technologies and finding treatments to change the lives of millions or people around the world,” Mayor Faulconer said. “Arcturus Therapeutics is a great example of how our culture of innovation and talented workforce combine to help promising companies grow and thrive right here in San Diego.”

“San Diego is recognized as a centre of excellence for the biotechnology industry, and Arcturus has been located here since its inception,” said Joseph Payne, President and CEO of Arcturus. “We appreciate the numerous benefits of being a member of the San Diego biotech community and the increased access to a world-class pool of qualified science professionals.”
