Cambrex recognised at 2018 CMO Leadership Awards

Cambrex Corporation, the leading manufacturer of small molecule innovator and generic Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), was recognised across six categories in the annual CMO (Contract Manufacturing Organization) Leadership Awards, which were announced at a ceremony in New York, on March 21.

Cambrex was recognized in the following categories: capabilities, compatibility, service, expertise, quality and reliability; and were noted for individual attribute awards for accessible senior management, innovation, on-time reputation, right first time, state-of-the-art, and strength of science. This award represents Cambrex’s 4th consecutive successful year in these awards, following honors in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

“The awards are in recognition of the highest level of accomplishment that drug development and manufacturing organizations have attained in serving the needs of their biotechnology and pharmaceutical customers and partners,” says Louis Garguilo, Chief Editor and Conference Chair, Outsourced Pharma. “They are especially meaningful because recipients are only evaluated by the customers they have actually worked with, and include the six critical categories of capabilities, compatibility, expertise, quality, reliability and service. An award in any of these categories adds to the distinction and reputation of CMOs throughout the global drug discovery, development, manufacturing and marketing industries.”

“We are once again honored to be recognized by our industry peers and customers in the CMO Leadership Awards,” commented Steven M. Klosk, President and Chief Executive Officer at Cambrex. He added, “We continue to invest in the right people, technologies and capacity to meet our customers’ and the pharmaceutical industry’s needs, and it is extremely gratifying to be acknowledged for our ongoing accomplishments.”

Established in 2011, the CMO Leadership Awards recognize top outsourcing partners, determined by feedback from sponsor companies who outsource manufacturing. The awards are presented by Life Science Leader magazine and Industry Standard Research.
