Hydrus Technology, an Australian company with its research & development facility in Brisbane, has launched its HTX wastewater treatment technology. The HTX technology treats complex wastewater streams. It processes, minimizes the use of harmful chemicals and inefficient membrane technology and offers improved wastewater management.

The company’s CEO David Cam said, “Our HTX branded electrochemical wastewater treatment processes provide better wastewater treatment outcomes and economics than are otherwise available today.”

The technology is provided on a ‘Water as a Service’ basis, that needs no capital outlay. It is rather an off-balance sheet wastewater treatment outsourced model, where HTH owns and operates the equipment to provide wastewater management outcomes thereby enabling customers to focus on their core business.

HTH’s present focus is landfill leachate, including the removal of harmful PFOA’s and PFOC’s, hard and soft rock mining and several industrial applications to provide superior operational, environmental and wastewater treatment outcomes than those currently available. The firm has a global strategic alliance and distribution network to provide Water as a Service model to its customers. Its solutions turn tainted industrial wastewater into water that meets Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards or client-specified water quality targets.
