Stream Bio Ltd, a company that develops and manufactures revolutionary bioscience products, has revealed it will be joining Theresa May alongside selected UK businesses on an international trade visit to China.
 

The three-day trip involves 50 business leaders from prominent companies, universities and trade associations including HSBC, Jaguar Land Rover, BP plc, Universities UK, Vaersarien and AstraZeneca.
 

The trip will aid the Prime Minister and International Trade Secretary, Liam Fox, in building post-Brexit trade ties with the world’s second largest economy, exploring the investment and business opportunities between the UK and China. Stream will be attending several events in Beijing and Shanghai, covering topics including the future of medicine, intellectual property, and the UK’s current and future trading partnership with China.
 

The life science sector, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biologics, features heavily in the UK industrial strategy. This sector has a huge demand in China, given its large and ageing population. As the only biotechnology company attending the trip, the work of Stream will help demonstrate the huge developments in the future of medicine happening in the UK at present, which will help advance commercial links in the life sciences sector between the two nations.
