Givaudan wins Gold for PrimalHyal Ultrafiller at in-cosmetics LatAm 21st September 2018
Givaudan Active Beauty is delighted to announce that one of its latest anti-ageing active ingredient PrimalHyal Ultrafiller, the dermal fillers challenger, has won the Gold Award for the “Best Innovation Ingredient Award” at in-cosmetics Latin America 2018.
Most of aesthetic dermal fillers are based on hyaluronic acid (HA) due to its natural volume filling properties. To offer a cosmetic alternative to these injectable fillers, Givaudan’s skin biology experts have developed a new sustainable HA derivative, 100% acetylated, which delivers synergistic actions to protect and rejuvenate the skin.
Laurent Bourdeau, Head of Active Beauty, said: “We are very proud of this new gold Award offered by the industry to highlight Givaudan’s commitment to innovation. It’s an impressive proof that confirms our daily involvement in delivering the best and becoming the partner of choice for our customers.”
Romain Reynaud, R&D Director, said: “We have pushed the boundaries of scientific innovation while crafting this new active ingredient. Thanks to our cross-functional collaboration within Givaudan, we were able to offer PrimalHyal Ultrafiller which is one of the most powerful HA on the market due to its extraordinary clinical benefits.”
PrimalHyal Ultrafiller penetrates twice deeper into the skin than standard HA and is resistant to skin hyaluronidases through its full acetylation. Exhaustive in vitro, ex vivo and four clinical studies versus placebo have shown that PrimalHyal Ultrafiller delivers wrinkles filling benefits in 1 to 6 hours, long term skin texture improvements, while preventing collagen degradation and boosting skin own defences against ROS.
